Cactus Bloom

 

This year, I've spent a lot of time adding to my collection of houseplants. Many of them live indoors, but a few get to enjoy the fresh air on our front porch whenever the weather permits here in the Midwest. 

This Thanksgiving cactus was purchased in Fort Wayne, Indiana. It spent the summer outside on the porch. I brought it inside last month, and then—just as I hoped—it bloomed. It’s moments like these that remind me how much joy these plants bring into my life.
